Outdoor Living Leads (“OLL”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices. It applies to outdoorlivingleads.online and the lead capture pages, contests, and project quizzes we operate for our contractor clients (together, the “Services”). We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Who Is Responsible

Christopher Carson is our Privacy Officer and is accountable for how we handle personal information. Contact: hello@outdoorlivingleads.online.

2. Information We Collect

Homeowners and contest entrants:

  • Name, email, phone number, and property address or area
  • Project details you share, such as project type, budget range, timeline, and preferences
  • Photos of your yard or property that you choose to upload
  • Contest entries, referral activity, and entry points

Contractors and business contacts: name, business name, role, city, trade, contact details, and information you give us when enquiring about our services.

Automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring site, and cookie data. See Section 7.

3. How We Use It

  • To send your enquiry, quote request, or project details to the contractor serving your area
  • To run contests, including verifying eligibility, drawing winners, and awarding prizes
  • To prepare AI-assisted design concepts from the photos and details you submit
  • To reply to you and provide the services you asked for
  • To send marketing messages, only where you have given consent
  • To measure and improve our websites and campaigns
  • To prevent fraud and meet legal obligations

4. How We Share It

With the contractor serving your area. Our Services connect homeowners with local outdoor living contractors. When you submit a form, quiz, or contest entry, your information is shared with the contractor named on that page or campaign. That contractor handles your information under its own privacy practices.

With service providers who help us operate, under terms that require them to protect your information and use it only to provide their services to us, including:

  • Website hosting: Namecheap
  • Email delivery: Brevo
  • AI image and text generation tools used to prepare design concepts

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, subject to this policy.

5. Storage Outside Canada

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. Information stored outside Canada may be accessible to courts and authorities in those countries under their laws.

6. Consent and Your Choices

  • By submitting a form, quiz, or entry, you consent to the uses described for that form.
  • Marketing messages are only sent where you have opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we process requests within 10 business days.
  • You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual limits. Withdrawing may mean we can no longer provide some services, such as contest entry.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. Our website analytics run on our own server and are not shared with third-party advertising networks. We do not currently use third-party advertising pixels on this site. If we add them, we will update this policy first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Lead and contest information is kept for up to 24 months after your last interaction, unless a longer period is required by law, and is then deleted or anonymized.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls, encrypted connections, and limited access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected people and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

10. Your Rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used and shared, and ask us to correct it. Contact our Privacy Officer at hello@outdoorlivingleads.online. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

11. Children

Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their province.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version, and significant changes will be posted on this page.
